Anthony is a Bristol-based performer, composer and Director for projects in theatre and film. Since 2016, Anthony has been co-artistic director of Mumblecrust Theatre, creators of the award-winning family show 'The Tale of the Cockatrice'.

Performing - ‘Davey’ in acclaimed rural outreach production Jerusalem (Civic Players, Anthony Richards); ‘Teller/Musician’ in Merlin’s Apprentice (Kickline) and ‘Mermaid Puppeteer’ in The Mermaid of Mevagissey (Luc Mollinger)

 

Composing for Film/Theatre - short film Murder Plot (Perceptive Creation), Walking Shadow (M. Barry), King Kong the Musical (Pinecone Theatrical), Tawdry Child (Gentle Medusa), As You Like It (Ray Court), Antic (Frank Lodge)

 

Directing - Heartwood (Pinecone Theatrical), Tawdry Child (Gentle Medusa) and The Tale of the Cockatrice (Mumblecrust Theatre)

 

Anthony plays a number of instruments including: piano, guitar, bass, accordion, whistles, bodhran and drums/percussion. He has played flamenco percussion and cajon with a range of guitarists and dancers in the South West. He also plays Appalachian 'Old Time' music on guitar and vocals, notably in Temporary Trio.

 

Anthony has taught drama to young people at Razzamataz Theatre Schools across Somerset.

He has worked in sound for film and theatre for the last ten years, and as an audio engineer for live music events.
